Mr. O’Donnell is a highly accomplished attorney with more than thirty years of varied and extensive trial experience. As the founding member of Selective, he serves as President and Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held since the firm’s inception. Mr. O’Donnell is driven to achieve sustained excellence in all spheres of the Firm’s internal management and external interface with the Firm’s business partners, clients and judiciary and regulatory agencies. He creates practical solutions for the Firm’s clients, including various Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 corporations, and advises them on how to manage existing litigation and to avoid risk. Mr. O’Donnell is responsible for promoting and ensuring the Firm’s demonstrable adherence to its fundamental Core Values – Efficiency, Expediency and Comprehensiveness – and for articulating and implementing the Firm’s entrepreneurial strategic vision. Recognized as an accessible, forward-thinking and solutions-oriented leader, Mr. O’Donnell utilizes those inherent skills to advance the interests of the Firm and, most importantly, its clients.
While not practicing law, Mr. O’Donnell enjoys spending time with his family and currently serves as Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Nativity BVM, Delaware County. Mr. O’Donnell has also held leadership positions in various organizations for over twenty years.

Brian P. McGovern joined Selective in 2014 as a Senior Litigation Attorney with twenty years of
experience. Mr. McGovern provides a wide breadth of legal services and concentrates his practice on
dram shop liability, premises liability and motor vehicle claims and has tried numerous cases throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and on both sides of the bar in every forum. Mr. McGovern is a zealous advocate for his clients, resulting in countless multi-figure verdicts. He is results-driven and prides himself on the relationships he develops with his clients. While not practicing law, he enjoys sports and outdoor activities with his wife and two children.

Thomas P. FurmanDirector of Claims
Mr. Furman has worked in the insurance field for over twenty years. He primarily managed various claims units within national insurance organizations. He currently serves as Director of the Firm’s Claims Division. Mr. Furman achieved Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter Distinction (“CPCU”) with the Insurance Institute in Malvern, Pennsylvania as well as his Associate in Management (“AIM”) Designation. Mr. Furman is a life-long member of the St. James High School Alumni Association. He is also an avid sports fan.

Matthew MullenClaims Specialist
Mr. Mullen has worked in the insurance claims industry for the last three years. He was previously employed as a Financial Investment Analyst at Flagship Capital Management in Media, PA for over four years. He then moved on to work with ACE Group in Philadelphia, where he was a Professional Associate in Claims, specializing in Construction & Construction Defect claims. He was selected to the ACE Early Career Development Program which supports the well-rounded development of critical insurance business skills and interaction with management level mentors. Mr. Mullen is currently pursuing his Associate in Claims designation (“AIC”), and is also working to achieve the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter Distinction (“CPCU”). Mr. Mullen is an alumnus of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, where he is still involved in the Alumni Association. He enjoys spending time in Sea Isle City with his family and fiancé, and is an enthusiastic Philadelphia sports fan.
